The fastest way to add keywords!

Keypict adds keywords to your photos. It will save you time and effort allowing you to quickly label your large photo collection. With Keypict you assign a key to a keyword, and when you press that key, the keyword is added to the photo. It's the fastest way to enter keywords.

Keypict excels at labeling photos with the names of family members. You assign a key to the full name of each member of your family. As you view each photo in a folder just a few keystrokes labels it with the names. Enter saves the changes and shows the next photo in the folder.

Keypict is easy to learn and operate. We strived to make Keypict as simple and efficient as possible. Anyone in the family can learn to use it in a couple of minutes. Keypict doesn't try to correct red eye, resize or other editing tasks; there are plenty of good programs to do this already. Keypict is designed to make adding keywords easier and it works with other programs. See the Links page for recommended programs.

Your photo's keywords are accessible by many programs since Keypict stores the keywords in the photo using industry standard metadata (XMP and IPTC headers).

Your pictures become more organized and valuable when they contain keywords:

• You can search for photos by keywords using Adobe Bridge™, Microsoft Vista™  or Google Desktop (with free Keypict Photo Search plug-in), among others.
• Popular photo sharing web sites like flickr.com and smugmug.com use the keywords when you upload photos, enabling you to add keywords to your original photos instead of tagging the copies on the net.

You can evaluate Keypict free for 30 days. When you first install Keypict it is configured as a 30 day trial version. The trial version shows a reminder dialog each time you launch. To continue using it after 30 day you need register it.

New Version 1.04 (April 08)

• You can now keep your keyword list visible all the time so you can see the key assignments and select keywords.
• You can quickly select a keyword from the key list by typing its first few characters.
• With one keystroke you can switch focus to the keyword list or back to your assigned keys.
• Most of the commands are visible in the menus making Keypict easier to learn.
• This upgrade is free to all registered users. Just download it and install it over the previous version.

Version 1.03 (March 08)

• You can now edit keywords by clicking in the keyword line and typing. You can enter and exit typing mode with the keyboard using "Ctrl+,".
• Images are now cached in the background so flipping through images is faster, especially for DNG files.
• You can now stay in the Edit Dialog to edit multiple images. You can use the Save & Next button (Shift-Enter) to save the current image and then bring up the next image.
• This upgrade is free to all registered users. Just download it and install it over the previous version.
